Certified Instrument Processing Technician, Sterile Processing

Location: UC Medical Center
Department: Sterile Processing
Hours: Full time, 40 hours/week
Shift: Second shift, 3p-11:30p

Performs all activities associated with decontamination, clean prep, tray assembly, sterilization, distribution and acquiring of instruments and supplies for the OR and L/D Departments.

Qualifications -

Education: High school diploma or GED

Years of experience: 1 year sterile processing experience, CRCST required.

Required Skills and Knowledge: Requires proven competency in instrumentation set up, decontamination and sterilization. Knowledge and competency of different types of sterilization equipment. Knowledge of medical supplies required. Must be able to demonstrate competency in computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
