Job Description

Provides development and support for the UC Health Intranet, and other related internal web sites and systems. Assists internal and external customers in the development of web applications and SharePoint pages that support their departmental and business goals.


Documents and resolves issues and problems appropriately Supports applications and systems developed by the team Updates web pages in a timely manner Raises issues to the appropriate level Provides complete systems documentation Performs backups and ensure user accessibility to the web site Monitors site traffic and helps scale site capacity to meet traffic demands Performs server daily monitoring including SMTP mail monitoring Administration of SharePoint server, Coordinates server hardware/software upgrades and maintenance SharePoint Administration Assists other teams with web server setup/issues. Specializes in developing web-based software applications Troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code Uses graphics and publishing software such as Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, Corel. Draw, Flash, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, etc. Develop and/or helps customers with SharePoint sites Develops HTML based web pages using hand coding or web publishing tools Working knowledge of JavaScript web scripting languages Develops Microsoft SQL and some Lotus Notes web pages and databases Develops detailed and inclusive test plans Provides training for both the technical staff and customers Writes end user documentation and help files Validates the web site or section for accuracy and proper functionality. Responsible for layout and design of a web site Maintains and provides ongoing design of the website Interacts with all Alliance business units in the planning and design of a new web site Works with Web Steering Committee Determines the technical/functional specifications for a web site or section. Project Management - Assigns and monitors tasks for team members Provides staffing/resource estimates Provides effective project coordination with vendors, consultants, IT staff and users Conducts team meetings to discuss and prioritize web requests and assignments. Coordination of IS&T Activities - Encourages and displays actions that result in high client satisfaction Good communication skills and ability to work in a changing environment Provides effective coordination with vendors, consultants, users, and IS&T staff Ensures that change management procedures are followed. Provides task level detail for project plans Provides accurate and timely individual status reports and timesheets Monitors, updates, and enters new tasks in TSD Enters PTO information in THA payroll application Updates the Team Calendar information in a timely manner Edits and monitors Report Express entries. Review the physical demands and assign an overall average percentage of time this position performs these activities.


  • Bachelor degree in Information Systems
  • Computer Science or related field combination of education required
  • Four or more years experience in web development and design required
