The Finance Manager, Financial Operations, provides strategic and operational leadership for assigned finance teams, supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business planning. This role partners with operational and clinical leaders to interpret results, guide strategic and operational decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across financial processes. A key responsibility of this position is developing and mentoring team members, enhancing analytical capability, encouraging innovation, and modeling a culture of trust, collaboration, and shared accountability.
Responsibilities
Leads financial planning and performance management: Directs preparation and evaluation of annual operating and capital budgets, monthly reporting, variance and productivity analysis, and monitoring of key financial metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Partners with leadership to drive results: Works with a Finance Director and operational and clinical leaders to interpret performance, develop action plans, and support service line and enterprise-level initiatives including restructuring, cost containment, and revenue optimization.
Oversees staff development and team execution: Leads analysts performing financial analysis, modeling, and reporting; sets priorities, reviews deliverables, and fosters professional growth, collaboration, and accountability.
Guides business planning and strategic initiatives: Develops financial models, business plans, and pro formas for new programs, staffing changes, and capital investments; conducts benchmarking, scenario modeling, and performance analysis to inform decision-making.
Delivers insights through reporting and presentations: Prepares and communicates complex financial information through dashboards, executive summaries, and presentations that translate analysis into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
Strengthens financial systems and processes: Identifies opportunities for process improvement, system enhancements, and analytics modernization within Financial Operations to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
Demonstrates strategic and analytical leadership: Applies critical thinking, problem-solving, and influencing skills to connect financial performance with operational outcomes and support continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
3 - 5 Years equivalent experience
Preferred - Healthcare experience
