IT Sr Application Systems Administrator, IS&T

Job Description

Works with venders, IS&T and departmental associates to assess and implement new systems/applications and hardware/software upgrades. Supports, tests and administers UCHealth site and enterprise systems/applications. Coordinates, schedules, and maintains projects and tasks while adhering to departmental standards.


Process and Project Management - Coordinates project work with requestors. Provides or assists with resource estimates for projects. Documents and facilitates issue resolution. Raises issues to the appropriate level. Provides accurate and timely individual status report. Adheres to departmental process and procedures. Attends and participates in department staff, team and individual meetings including Change Management, and PMO. Maintains standards while managing, reviewing and assigning projects and tasks. Schedules and delegates project duties as needed to team members. Collects and interprets departmental metrics. System and Application Support - Interact with users, vendors and other IS&T staff to define and validate system requirements, including hardware and software requirements Designs detailed and inclusive test plans for updates and/or new applications, validating that system requirements are met. Responsible for managing, implementing, supporting and, troubleshooting HW & SW problems pertaining to all LAN applications. Recommends and schedules maintenance repairs when needed Maintains application patching and version levels as needed Manage all System Administration requirements necessary to implement systems and applications Process work requests per department standard. Application Administration: Responsible for application account administration, including, but not limited to, Creations, deletions, modifications and security access Monitor and fine tune application/system performance to insure appropriate service Reviews application logs on a daily basis Establish Standard Operating Procedures for managed systems and applications Works with IS&T staff to coordinate training and deployment Provides timely and accurate support to resolve system errors and user reported problems Research enhancements, new tools and technologies to enhance performance and capabilities Install system and application patches and current revisions as needed. Define schedules for maintenance of systems and applications Define and maintain system and application metrics. Documentation: Develops and approves complete systems documentation Documents and approves installation procedures Documents and approves System and Application Administration Procedures and Standards Enters and updates Change Management in a timely fashion Enters accurate information into application and server database Enter PMO information such as issues change dates on projects and maintain weekly PMO status reports


Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science combination of education preferred.

Four or more years experience in support or analysis in a PC or client/server environment preferred.

Experience with Tanium preferred
