Lead Staffing Coordinator

Job Description

The lead staffing coordinator oversees the daily operations of the office. They work with the nurse leaders and staffing coordinator to ensure that associates are paid correctly. Is they key liaison to the agencies on order to coordinate appropriate levels of staffing coverage. The lead staffing coordinator assists staffing coordinators and senior staffing coordinators as needed, is a super-user of the electronic scheduling system and is responsible for processing payroll for inpatient nursing areas.

Responsibilities

Schedules staffing coordinators and senior staffing coordinators; works to replace call offs; is responsible for orientation of new staffing coordinators; provides continuous feedback to the business manager for performance evaluations and development of current staff. - 30% � Is liaison to unit based scheduling committees to assist and offer support in the development of unit schedules in accordance with union contracts and staffing policies. - 10% � Assists management/scheduling committees in schedule preparation and maintenance. Greets new hires in orientation to explain scheduling process. Assists all HUC�s with uniform ordering. Right-hand man to float pool/SSP manager with scheduling and payroll for float pool/SSP employees. - 35% � Covers staffing desk when staffing coordinator is not available; assists staffing coordinator as needed. - 10% � Work with Nursing Operations manager on projects and process improvement. - 5% � Maintains electronic scheduling system; enters unpaid time, PTO, and non-productive time into scheduling system. - 10% | Review the physical demands and assign an overall average percentage of time this position performs these activities. Qualifications

Associate degree in Business Administration or related field combination of education necessary. | None | Previous senior staffing coordinator or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
