Responsibilities
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- The most important background for this position is a history of using performance improvement tools to change actual outcomes.
- 3 years at a minimum with more being better.
- In order to have organizational credibility a BS degree in a related field is an educational requirement. An advanced degree is desirable, but not essential.
- Experience in the following software applications is required:
- Spreadsheets (Excel, etc.)
- Power Point
- Word Processing (Word, etc.)
- Must have detailed knowledge of Lean philosophy, methodology and tools. An excellent understanding of hospital organization and measurement is desirable.
- Must present a professional manner, have good verbal/written communication skills; be able to maintain confidentiality of all data. Demonstrate ability to lead and coach teams with across a wide variety of skill levels (staff to Sr. Exec, technicians, nurses, physicians) as well as across the full spectrum of UC Health functions (Ambulatory, Hospital, Business, etc.)
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable and excellent at organizing data collection and use, coaching teams, teaching improvement concepts and growing others to drive tremendous and transformative change. They will help to create the UC Health way.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
Education:
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Clinical, Engineering, Business, Public Health or a related field
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Clinical, Engineering, Business, Public Health or a related field
License and Certification:
Data Management formal training desirable.
Formal performance improvement training desirable
Years of Experience:
- Minimum Required: 5 years related experience
- Preferred:
- 2-3 years equivalent experience in healthcare
- Work experience as an operational leader (supervisor, manager, etc.) is highly desired.
