UC Health is currently hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse I) for the Acute Care Medicine 3 South Unit at UC Medical Center. As part of our team, you'll support our Level 1 Trauma Center and acute care medicine unit, delivering high-quality care based on patient needs, established standards, and UC Health policies.
Position Overview:
As an RN in Acute Care Medicine, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to diverse medical populations. You'll collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team, ensuring the best possible patient outcomes while gaining experience in an innovative, fast-paced environment.

- Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care for each assigned patient in a collaborative effort with the other healthcare team members and patient/family within the time frame indicated by unit's standards of practice.
- Communicates formulated plan of care, as appropriate, to all levels of associates involved in the patient's care, and demonstrates ability to establish priorities of care based on patient's assessment and needs.
- Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment, and involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment, and continuing care of the patient.
- Identifies and responds appropriately to different patient needs resulting from behavioral health problems, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious/cultural norms.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, accountability, flexibility, and a cooperative attitude in meeting the needs of the unit.
- Nursing process is accurately and concisely documented, including evaluation of treatment and in accordance to hospital policy and procedure.
- Acts as a resource person and mentor for new personnel, floater, and/or supplemental staff working on the unit.
- Assumes responsibility for personal professional development and contributes to the professional development of peers, colleagues, and others.
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum Requirement: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Licensure: Current Ohio RN License
