Job Description

Provides data collection and reporting support for the department goals and strategic plans. Provides support to optimize billing and denial resolution operations and acts as a resource. Maintains WQ at acceptable levels.
Primary Responsibilities: Report building/Analysis, Denial / Recoupment Resolution, Quality Audits. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Maintains and assists in developing reports to measure, monitor and evaluate A/R performance. Compile and distribute data as directed. Provides support to the Revenue Cycle in conjunction with the Revenue Cycle Manager to establish optimal operations. Collaborates with the Revenue Cycle Manager to develop and implement a framework for identifying, prioritizing and implementing key business initiatives. Collaborates with the Revenue Cycle Manager or Supervisor to identify and document workflows to enhance denial resolution or EPIC workflows. Maintains and assists in developing a process to analyze denial or no response rate and provide data identifying trends and changes. Supports other core services and initiatives as required and requested. Perform other duties as assigned which may also include:
  • Preparation of Payer Project reports
  • Analyze denials
  • Maintain WQ's
  • Resolve recoupments
  • Assist with issue logs
  • Special projects.
  • Quality Audits.
  • Training Support


Qualifications

Required: A minimum of two years experience required.

Education: Associates degree or combined education with equivalent experience.

Required Experience: Comprehensive understanding of the Healthcare Revenue Cycle, Experience with basic Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial billing and compliance rules. Computer literate. MS suite of products experience. Attention to detail. Advanced research and organization skills. Ability to work independently in a in a remote environment. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to interpret and apply written instruction.

Preferred: 1-2 years Report writing experience. Mid to Advanced Excel experience. Professional billing and follow up experience.
