The Sr. Epic Principal Trainer Position supports Revenue Cycle applications including but not limited to Hospital Billing, Single Billing Office, and Health Information Management applications. Supports mentoring/coaching responsibilities for the training team.

In addition to functioning in all the capacities of a Principal Trainer, a Senior Principal Trainer serves as a team lead and provides direction to a subset of instructors within the training department, as well as enterprise Super Users. A Senior Principal Trainer has at least four years of experience in Epic training and/or build and is credentialed in both Revenue Cycle and Clinical applications. The Senior PT is responsible for project management functions in collaboration with the Senior Application Analysts, and is the training team resource to the implementation project team. The Senior PT will assess and identify end user educational needs, and will develop effective and dynamic solutions. Position requires energetic, enthusiastic, customer-oriented team player with exceptional communication, organizational, technical, and leadership skills, as well as at least 2 years' experience in Principal Trainer role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Team Lead for Application Subgroup
  • Provides input to Manager on operations, projects, and training strategy
  • Serve as primary project resource for new implementation and Upgrades
  • Facilitate Revenue Cycle or Clinical applications team meetings
  • Audits classes led by Principal Trainers to ensure content accurate and training standards maintained; provide coaching and feedback
  • Maintains Super User network throughout respective application departments
  • Maintains training schedule including accounting for course coverage needs
  • Leverages content from the UserWeb and makes it available in Learning Management System; serves as LMS administrator
  • Foster engagement among training team
  • Demonstrate PRIIDE values and participate in organizational initiatives


Qualifications

  • Successfully complete initial Epic Certification for one or more Epic applications as determined by UC Health
  • Maintain Epic certifications, proficiencies, and badges by completing an NVT self-assessment or any required Application Essentials requirements for each certified application
