To insure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the primary utility systems in the facility.


  • Operates and inspects boiler and chiller systems, observes and adjusts associated equipment to detect malfunctions. Takes corrective action.
  • Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on utility systems equipment. Performs required lubrication on equipment.
  • Perform water/chemical tests, determine proper feed rates
  • Check equipment, piping and controls for leaks and insulation problems
  • Perform other repair work as assigned
  • Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation
  • Perform other duties as assigned as directed by supervision


  • High School Diploma

  • High Pressure Boiler Operators License or Stationary Engineer license for Ohio sites.
  • Universal Refrigeration Certification preferred

  • Boiler and chiller operation, HVAC operation, water treatment testing and chemical management. Repair experience in pumps, valves, controls.
