UC Health is hiring a Full Time IT Manager - Epic Ambulatory Clinical

The IT Manager - Epic Ambulatory Clinical is responsible for managing and optimizing the technology solutions that enhance Ambulatory clinical workflows for Primary, Specialty and Surgical Medicine. This role involves overseeing the implementation, integration, and support of IT systems related to clinical documentation and orders. The manager collaborates with clinical, operational, and IT teams to ensure that specialty tools / technology solutions align with organizational goals for clinician and clinical staff experience. Key responsibilities include driving improvements in clinician efficiency, workflow processes and ensuring that IT systems meet regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Metrics - Has defined and measurable metrics of operational productivity Has defined and measurable metrics of operational quality Metrics cover all major areas of responsibility and are a reasonable measure or proxy for work done
  • Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness - Sets operational and quality targets; regularly monitors efficiency using metrics Utilizes industry statistics and information to validate efficiency and effectiveness Maintains and applies technical, business acumen to increase service value
  • Relationship Management - Improves IS&T image to be the preferred service in UCHealth Shows a high-level understanding of customers business processes and key issues Builds working relationship with key customers
  • Project and Process - Demonstrates knowledge of the principles and practices of project and process management and the applications that support them Utilizes PMO tools and processes to effectively manage projects
  • Resource Identification and Allocation - Assesses area responsibilities and defines required resource skills and tasks Manages salary resources to perform responsibilities in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Development - Associates have the necessary experience and training needed to support the area Delegate responsibility to associates effectively Has defined goals and objectives, for each associate, with progress measured on a periodic basis Meets regularly with each associate to review performance


Qualifications

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field combination of education required.
  • Minimum Requirement: 6 - 10 Years equivalent experience and Five or more years experience in the area of Information Systems or Project Management required.
  • Preferred: 6 - 10 Years equivalent experience - Healthcare systems experience desirable.
