IT Project Administrator

Job Description

UC Health is hiring a Full Time IT Project Administrator

Independently provides project support and direction to multiple and concurrent efforts within IS&T. This entails management of moderate to highly complex projects and consulting to the project teams with regular communications and interactions with executive leadership regarding the status, sponsorship and funding of the initiatives. The position is expected to work with business units to appropriately scope project work, define milestones, identify risks, and understand funding sources using established Project Management Office (PMO) standards and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Strong systems orientation and organizational skills required.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, with demonstrated abilities in presenting complex material to an executive audience required.
  • Experience in project management and capable of maintaining high level of proficiency in program and project methodology.
  • Capable of coaching and mentoring project team member in project management methodology and process.
  • Ability to write functional specifications, develop and document operational procedures, test software, and coordinate software release procedures preferred.
  • Capable of maintaining general knowledge of systems utilized within organization and how they integrate.
  • Must have specific knowledge of data collection procedures and data management.
  • Working knowledge of word processing and some data management applications i.e. Excel, Access, MS Project.
  • Functional knowledge of healthcare including clinical, financial or operations preferred.
  • Must have strong customer service skill and serve as liaison to the users.


Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field combination of education required.
  • Minimum Required: Four or more years' experience in the area of information system analysis or support with two years of extensive project management experience required.
  • Preferred: Healthcare systems experience desirable. PMI certification a plus.
