This position is responsible for providing support to the system's facilities by supporting revenue cycle initiatives and
by providing value-added support to revenue cycle leadership. Assignments and oversight for the position will come
primarily from the Revenue Cycle Supervisor/Manager but may also come from Revenue Cycle Department Directors. The incumbent will work with revenue cycle management to assist in developing and reinforcing effective business practices within pre-registration, admitting and registration, health information management, billing and collections, and customer service.

Responsibilities

Revenue Cycle Performance:

Maintains superior understanding of claims management, third-party payer guidelines, state and federal regulations, and all other functions of the position.

Aids in tracking key performance indicators at the departmental level, as well as conducting root cause analysis to determine the source of performance issues.

Helps to work and resolve accounts/work from other staff members' workloads to prevent backlogs and fills in as needed for absent staff.

Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure overall account accuracy and issue resolutions are completedscore: N/A.

Ability to self-identify issues/trends.

Ability to identify cash flow delays or issue and report to Manager.

Aids in tracking key performance indicators at the departmental level, as well as conducting root cause analysis.

Consistently meets and exceeds 100% or greater of the department productivity standards.

Takes responsibility for individual productivity standards.

Provides alternative solutions on how to meet productivity standards for team members.

Consistently assesses skills and qualities to set/meet personal goals.

Works with employees that are not meeting current productivity standards to suggest workflow improvements and efficiencies.

Participate in web-based training/Webinars and relay to the team.

Attends 3 or more UC Health training and development courses per year.

Certification from a recognized Revenue Cycle Organization

Assists Dept trainer with SOP's and training materials.

Effectively completes, when necessary, payer project work as identified by PAS or Manager. This may include collaboration with other departments within UC Health and/or payer representatives.

Identifies potential projects and collaborates with Manager/Supervisor to assign projects and manage completion.

Qualifications

Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED. Associates preferred. | Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Revenue Cycle and/or Epic Revenue Cycle applications required.
