Job Description

Provides data collection and reporting support for the organization?s vision/mission, goals and strategic plans. Provides support to optimize billing operations and acts as a resource assisting UCP and the departments in system implementations.

Responsibilities

"As part of the Professional Billing Office (PBO) on the Billing and Claims team, the Revenue Cycle consultant maintains and assists in developing reports to measure, monitor, and evaluate University of Cincinnati Physicians Company's performance against benchmarks for academic organizations for productivity and billing efficiency. The Revenue Cycle consultant will be expected to send out monthly internal bills for UC Health Research studies, assist the team with questions, lead internal PBO projects, use Epic professional billing module, assist in maintaining team training materials, monthly quality audits of Patient Accounting Representatives on the team, daily professional billing claim reconciliation, analyze data using SlicerDicer and Microsoft 365 applications, and other duties as assigned. The Billing and Claims team works several different professional billing workqueues and workqueue types in Epic. The revenue cycle consultant is expected to know how to work each workqueue and to help when other team members use PTO. Candidates must be able to work independently and be able to physically complete demands of this job which include sitting, typing, using office materials, and the visual acuity to look at computer screens for a long period of time."

Qualifications

Revenue cycle experience of at least 3 years (Professional Billing preferred) and know/be proficient at Microsoft 365 applications
