UC Health is hiring an SEO Sr. Consultant - Digital Marketing

The SEO Sr. Consultant will support the development and execution of SEO strategies to improve website performance, align content with SEO best practices, and optimize search visibility. The consultant will report to the SEO Manager and focus on technical SEO, content optimization, and ongoing performance analysis to drive growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and Implement SEO Strategies
  • Collaborate with the SEO Manager to develop and execute strategies that enhance inbound search traffic and align with business goals.
  • Implement off-page SEO tactics such as link-building strategies, under the guidance of the SEO Manager.
  • Develop relationships with key marketing stakeholders to understand the goals for priority lines of business and the system.
  • Develop and implement off-page strategies (link building).

Content Optimization
  • Ensures content, new or existing, aligns with the SEO strategies.
  • Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content optimization and support ongoing content improvements.
  • Consults with content developers on the team and agency/consultant partners to assure alignment with SEO goals.
  • Monitors and analyzes website SEO performance using SEO tools, providing insights and recommendations for improving search visibility and traffic.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate SEO best practices into content creation, website design, and user experience enhancements.

Reporting and Analytics
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of website data to identify trends and insights.
  • Provide regular reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Report results on web traffic, rankings and other on-site activities to support the goals for organization through analytics and other tools.
  • Review technical SEO issues and provide recommendation for fixes.

Site Health Support
  • Assist with the identification of technical SEO issues and work with the SEO Manager to collaborate on fixing issues.
  • Contribute to the ongoing monitoring and improvement of site architecture and link-building efforts.
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Identify and mitigate site health risks as they occur.

Maintain Competencies in SEO and Analytics
  • Collaborate with the SEO Manager to identify learning and development opportunities to stay current in SEO best practices and tools.
  • Regularly attend industry webinars, conferences, or training sessions to enhance knowledge of SEO trends and search engine algorithm updates.
  • Utilize SEO analytics tool training and education to strengthen skills around monitoring the performance and continuously refine strategies based on data-driven industry insights.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or relevant field, minimum required. M.A., M.S., or M.B.A, preferred.

Experience: 1-2 years equivalent experience, minimum required. 3-5 years equivalent experience, preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Excellent Communication and Writing Skills: Ability to convey complex SEO concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with content teams and stakeholders.
  • SEO and Content Marketing Knowledge: Proven experience in executing SEO strategies and optimizing content for search engine performance.
  • Solid Understanding of Performance Marketing: Familiarity with performance marketing and customer acquisition strategies, contributing to improved online growth.
  • Experience with Website Analytics and Keyword Tools: Working knowledge of tools like Google Analytics, SemRush, and Google AdWords to track performance and optimize SEO efforts.
  • Knowledge of SEO Best Practices: Understanding of ranking factors and search engine algorithms, with the ability to implement optimization techniques.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with PPC Campaigns: Some exposure to managing or supporting PPC campaigns is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager: Experience with AEM or other content management systems is desirable but not required.
  • Technical Aptitude: Basic working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and their impact on digital marketing.
  • Experience in managing content management systems (CMS) and large-scale digital content libraries.
  • Experience in managing SEO for a complex, multi-location healthcare system is a plus.
