Job Description

To support the research related financial and compliance needs of a complex teaching, research and clinical care facility.

Responsibilities

Support research through liaison work between UC Health billing and scheduling functions, UC Health registration and the research community to facilitate timely and accurate billing for research related activities. - 10% � Support research compliance through obtaining and organizing proper study documentation. - 10% � Communication to patient financial services billing staff on what to bill research studies for research services. This is accomplished through day to day reconciliation of charges in patient billing system to research services reported by research community designee. - 15% � Correct research registration errors. Correct charge entry errors. - 10% � Answer internal and external customer questions related to research charging and billing.- 10% � Maintain database of billed accounts for tracking and reporting. Update financial agreements (Special Billing Worksheets) between research study and UC Heath for all active studies. Responsible for establishing and updating research account in EPIC. - 10% � Mentoring: Assist with orientation and training of new analysts. Serve as advisor and mentor to less experienced analytical staff members. Follow policies and procedures governing the handling of confidential information as defined by UC Health mission and applicable laws and regulations. - 10% � Ensure work areas are organized and present a safe, accessible, effective and efficient. Participate in establishing job requirements and goals; perform duties at the desired level. Qualifications
