UC Health is hiring a Strategic Benefits Consultant
The Strategic Benefits Consultant is responsible for the strategic oversight, design, and implementation of employee benefits programs. This role involves analyzing market trends, benchmarking benefits programs, developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain top talent, leading complex projects, educating employees on the value of their Total Rewards package, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities
Compliance and Regulatory:
• Ensure all benefits programs adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, minimizing compliance risks for the organization.
• Conduct regular audits of benefits programs and processes to verify ongoing compliance, addressing any issues promptly.
• Stay informed on changes in benefits laws and regulations, updating policies and programs to reflect the latest requirements and best practices.
• Lead the collection, validation, and management of data for external audits, ensuring accurate and timely responses to regulatory inquiries.
Data Management:
• Analyze market trends and benchmark benefits programs against industry standards to ensure competitiveness and relevance.
• Review data from carriers, brokers, and internal teams to identify key insights, and make strategic recommendations that drive program effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
• Ensures accuracy of all benefits data through audit and reporting.
Benefits Program Management:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives to enhance and expand benefits offerings, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Continuously evaluate and benchmark existing benefits programs against market standards to maintain competitiveness and relevance.
• Lead the successful implementation of new benefits programs and enhancements.
• Manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers, ensuring they deliver high-quality service and support that aligns with employee needs and organizational objectives.
• Designs policies or provisions for new programs and provides thoughtful recommendations to existing policies.
Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute strategic benefits initiatives that align with the organization's long-term goals and objectives.
• Provide expert guidance on benefits program design and implementation, ensuring programs meet both employee needs and organizational priorities.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership to integrate the benefits strategy with broader organizational goals, driving overall employee satisfaction and retention.
• Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of benefits programs, offering data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Partner with management to formulate strategic benefits plans that support the organization's mission and financial objectives.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve benefits programs and enhance employee satisfaction.
• Contribute to annual benefits reviews and budgeting processes, ensuring financial sustainability and alignment with strategic priorities.
Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement opportunities for new and improved processes in benefits administration, driving increased efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
• Apply best practices to streamline operations, reduce administrative burdens, and enhance the overall employee experience.
• Regularly review benefits-related dashboards and reporting tools to provide management with real-time insights, enabling data-driven decision-making.
Employee Support and Communication:
• Design and deliver comprehensive benefits education programs and materials that empower employees to make informed decisions about their benefits.
• Communicate benefits changes and updates clearly and consistently across the organization, ensuring that all employees are well-informed.
• Proactively engage with employees by presenting at all-hands meetings and other business forums, creating opportunities for open dialogue and feedback to continuously improve the benefits experience.

Qualifications
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree Business Related.
- Preferred: Master's Degree Business Related.
- Preferred: Relevant certification (e.g., CEBS).
- Minimum Required: 3 years of proven experience in benefits strategy, consulting, or a related field.
