Education: High school diploma or GED.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Pleasant verbal communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to outpatient scheduling. Testing required.

The Surgery Scheduler schedules procedures for UC Health Perioperative and Diagnostic Areas.
Responsibilities
- Schedules procedures for the following Outpatient Hospital areas using the block schedule, and in collaboration with PTMs, AOD, OR Manager and Directors
- Operating room
- UCMC
- Holmes
- West Chester
- Coordinate and schedule living donor transplant, vascular access, and hepatobiliary procedures ensuring accurate timing and resource allocation. Monitoring utilization of block time
- Work with other departments and anesthesia schedules to coordinate co-surgeon procedures.
- Monitor the physician call schedule provided by the provider admins to ensure proper coordination and scheduling of surgeries
- Document and communicate any cancellations, delays, or time changes to appropriate personnel in a timely manner while providing patient chart documentation.
- Liaison between office staff and procedural areas with effective communication and operational efficiency
