UC Health is hiring a VP of Finance Operations and Ambulatory Services.

The Vice President of Finance Operations & Analytics reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and plays a crucial role in promoting the financial sustainability of our healthcare organization. This senior leadership position will be responsible for advanced financial analytics, overseeing service line performance, and ensuring the financial integrity of new and expanded services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare financial analytics and clinical operations and will work closely with various stakeholders to enhance profitability and drive value-based care initiatives.

Responsibilities

Advanced Financial and Profitability Analytics:
  • Develops and implements comprehensive financial models to analyze profitability across various service lines.
  • Utilizes advanced data analytics tools to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Service Line Performance and Oversight:
  • Monitors and evaluates financial performance of service lines, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to enhance service line profitability.

Pro-formas for New/Expanded Services:
  • Prepares detailed financial projections and pro-formas for potential new services or expansions.
  • Assesses market trends and financial implications to provide strategic recommendations.

Finance Operations:
  • Oversees all finance operational functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Leads efforts in optimizing financial processes and systems for increased efficiency.

Cost Accounting and Cost per Case Analysis:
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive cost accounting systems to monitor cost per case across various departments.
  • Provides insights and recommendations for cost containment and efficiency improvements.

Liaison with EDBAs:
  • Serves as the primary liaison with Executive Directors of Business Administration (EDBAs) to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Value-Based Care & Quality Initiatives:
  • Collaborates with clinical leadership to integrate financial strategies with value-based care and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitors performance metrics and financial outcomes related to value-based programs.

Medicare Cost Report Preparation and Filing:
  • Prepares and ensures timely filing of Medicare cost reports in compliance with federal regulations.

Medicare/Medicaid Enrollments
  • Ensures complete and accurate governmental enrollments and PECOS filings


Qualifications

EDUCATION:
  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum Required: 6 - 10 years of equivalent experience
