Responsibilities

Scope of Work

Because projects are tailored to an individual development plan, no two fellowship experiences are alike. Fellows take on a customized portfolio of projects that can span any operational domain, including:

  • Operational quality improvement projects across clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Project management work of varying scope and complexity
  • Site-based capital projects, including quarterly contingency capital requests
  • Cross-departmental initiatives
  • Executive Rounds, organized and operated by the UCMC fellow


Access to Senior Leadership

Exposure to senior leaders provides fellows with meaningful involvement in the strategic and financial conversations that shape hospital operations. Fellows regularly participate in:

  • Weekly FTE reviews
  • Weekly senior leadership meetings
  • Monthly director-and-above meetings
  • High-level discussions on contracting, finance, and other critical decision areas

Qualifications

Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree. | Minimum Required: Scheduled to certify, license or graduate within 12 months. Preferred Master's Degree
