Primary Purpose:
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care; provide administrative direction to all nursing personnel; 24-hour accountability for operational aspects of the patient care unit(s).

Critical Care Highlights:

• CVICU 24 beds

• Very busy Cath Lab

• Staffing 1:1 - post-op open hearts, IABP (balloon pump, CRRT, Therapeutic Hypothermia)

• Use of progressive industry technology such as; CRRT, Impella, TAVR, ECMO

Responsibilities

As the Critical Care Nurse Manager, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of overall nursing care to patients in our 24-bed department. In this role, you will design, coach, and lead your nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical team members in collaboration with your Clinical Supervisors, Charge RNs, and Preceptor staff. You will utilize your strong mentoring and leadership skills to ensure that staff is participating in available professional development opportunities and current in required training and certifications to allow them to provide the best care possible to our patients. Qualifications

  • A strategic, adaptable, growth-oriented, and team-focused personality
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • BSN required
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a charge nurse or other equivalent leadership experience is required. Three years of previous Critical Care management experience preferred.
  • Licensure in the State of Ohio as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
