Job Description

UC Health is hiring a full-time Compensation Director for the department of Human Resources.

The purpose of this position is to ensure the alignment of the Human Resources administration for UC Health Corporate offices and consolidated departments. This position's responsibilities include policy interpretation and application within legal, compliance, employee relations, employment law parameters. The position will be charged with the development of strategic human resource goals supportive of the UC Health and Human Resources missions. In addition to the UCH Business Center, this position is additionally responsible for the Associate Health and Wellness, UCHBC Environmental Services and UCHBC Plant Operations.

Responsibilities

Strategic Workforce Development:
  • Ensures the cost effective methods to recruit and retain the top talent necessary to support the UC Health mission.
  • Assures sustained workforce development programs targeted to meet the future skill requirements necessary to support the academic medical center.
  • Stays abreast of both the current and future developing trends may impact the staffing requirements facing Healthcare and UC Health.
  • Develops plans to address the changing workforce skill requirements and workforce demographics; monitors success.

Employee and Labor Relations:
  • Oversees effective employee relations to ensure a highly engaged and productive workforce.
  • Analyzes associate engagement survey data and workforce metrics to assist with the development and implementation of programs to drive UC Health Culture.
  • Ensures reward and recognition programs are administered consistently and effectively.

HR Data Analytics:
  • Monitors key Human Resource data metrics to determine trends in workforce measures including turnover, exit information, safety and demographics.
  • Develops strategies for addressing any negative trends in the metrics and to sustain process improvement.

Manage Ancillary Departments:
  • Oversees the Associate Health and Wellness Department including compliance with pre-employment health requirements, workers compensation and leave of absence programs within Associate Health umbrella Employee Assistance program
  • Responsible for the environmental services department, providing housekeeping services for the business center office complex.
  • Oversees the management of the plant operations function for the business center campus facilities.

Community Relations:
  • Represents UC Health Human resources functions on various committees to support local community programs.


Qualifications

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Human Resources.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree; MBA or MHA.
  • SPHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum Required: 6 - 10 years equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: 11 - 15 years equivalent experience.
