Directs, administers, manages and coordinates the operational activities of the Primary Care Network in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by University of Cincinnati Physicians Company, LLC (UCPC) and UC Health (UCH), collectively the Health System and Department Vice President. Ensure the effective operational management of clinical functions related to personnel and policy in order to meet the mission of patient care, education and research within a fiscally responsible organization.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate work of designated employees, manage personnel activities to meet Health System and departmental objectives related to the provision of patient care within designated clinical areas. Initially, will work closely with Department to pilot and implement any proposed changes in patient care, research, or educational measures.
  • In collaboration with other administrative leadership, develop strategic and operational plan for assigned clinical area(s); communicate plans and continuously evaluate plans.
  • Develop and communicate vision for care delivery models and facilitate ongoing refinement of such models.
  • Serve as clinical operational liaison with administrative and professional personnel concerning Health System and departmental policies and procedures, personnel administration and budgetary preparation and control.
  • Ensures effective processes concerning Health System and departmental policies and procedures, personnel administration and budgetary preparation and control. -
  • Maintain interface with departmental personnel to coordinate clinical operational activities to ensure adequate staffing, space and facilities, coordination of purchasing, maintenance and renovation activities for the operational areas, administer a program of property management and accountability. Recommend necessary space, equipment, supplies and support systems to ensure effective functioning of department clinical operations/integration.
  • Develop and support a matrixed and shared governance structure.
  • Ensure effective processes for staff development, recruitment and retention.
  • Ensures the program's activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, states and federal regulations and laws governing business operations, as well as accreditation entities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum Required: Master's Degree
  • MBA Preferred: Master's Degree in medical field
  • Minimum Required: 4 years equivalent experience. Preferred: 11+ years equivalent experience.
