Job Description

UC Health is hiring a Director of Creative Marketing for the Marketing and Communications Department.

The Director of Creative Marketing will establish the creative vision and direction for UC Health, leading the creative team. The Director of Creative Marketing will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver creative solutions that advance the UC Health brand, internally and externally. This position requires a dynamic, highly organized, and collaborative individual with a passion for multi-channel storytelling, exceptional design, and innovative thinking. The Director of Creative Marketing must have exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and strategies clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes the creative vision and overall brand experience for UC Health, online and offline.
  • Evolves and maintains brand guidelines to ensure a unified brand identity across all touchpoints and channels.
  • Stays current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural shifts to keep the brand's creative output fresh and relevant.
  • Leads the development and execution of creative concepts across all platforms, including digital, print, video, environmental, and experiential media.
  • Oversees the creative process from concept to completion, ensuring all work aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives.
  • Presents and communicates creative ideas and strategies to stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients.
  • Develops and maintains a process to ensure creative is executed with excellence, on time, and on budget.
  • Ensures consistency and quality across all creative outputs, maintaining a high standard of excellence in design, messaging, and execution.
  • Determines innovative solutions to automate and scale creative delivery.
  • Determines approach to continuously optimize creative performance internally and externally, in partnership with Marketing and Communication.
  • Leads best-in-class organization and structure that maximizes efficiency and effectiveness across the marketing and communications team.
  • Establishes strong relations across the UC Health MarCom team and broader ecosystem.
  • Collaborates with marketing and communications colleagues, as well as key stakeholders and executive teams to translate business goals into innovative creative strategies.
  • Leads and mentors a team of creative specialists (designers and videographers), elevating creativity internally and externally, while creating a culture of learning, empowerment, and personal growth.
  • Directs team members and outside partners in strategy, day-to-day operational needs, and process/product improvement.
  • Fosters a high-performing team leveraging diverse skills and expertise to achieve organizational and marketing goals.
  • Manages project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely delivery of projects.
  • Builds and monitors budgets allocated for creative projects.
  • Negotiates contracts and evaluates spending with creative partners.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • 6 -10 years of equivalent experience is required
  • 11-15 years of equivalent experience is preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
  • Managing search engine marketing campaigns, project management, web content management systems, web usability, email marketing software, web content marketing, and digital analytics.
