UC Health is hiring a Director of Nursing for the Women's Health Services for the First Shift at UC Medical Center.

As the Women's Health Services Nursing Director, you will oversee L&D, OB High Risk, NICU, and Perinatal Support Services. This esteemed position will report to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer. The Nursing Director will facilitate partnering with members of the multidisciplinary team and will actively engage the department and UC Health to provide the necessary infrastructure for quality patient care services. This position will actively participate in identifying regional benchmarks, evidence-based clinical protocols, and developing outreach programs reflective of the organization's strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in establishing cost, satisfaction quality, and market share targets.
  • Develops strategies to meet the targets and goals outlined by the organization.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with UC Health Physicians, Surgeons, and the UC Health Administrative team.
  • Oversees departmental planning, marketing labor management, budget management, development of professional nursing practice, assurance of quality patient care, and service excellence for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinates and directs the patient care and management activities in the Patient Care Services Division within the guidelines of the Joint Commission and State regulations.
  • Achieves and maintains competent services with goals consistent with those of UC Health and Patient Care Services.
  • Provides leadership to Patient Care Services.
  • Ensures the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the institution's mission, goals, and objectives.


Qualifications

EDUCATION:
  • Minimum Required: BS in Nursing required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or other Health related field is required
  • Doctorate of Nursing Practice is a plus.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATION:
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
  • BLS / ACLS if applicable
  • Certification in specialty area strongly preferred
  • Certification in AWOHNN is a plus

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum Required: 3 - 5 Years of equivalent experience in labor & Delivery/ OB High Risk/ NICU/ Perinatal Support Services.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Demonstrated progressive responsibilities in management
  • Demonstrated evidence of successful management
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting for operations and Personnel management
  • Demonstrated evidence of continuing growth and leadership
