UC Health is hiring a full-time Distribution and Processing Services Specialist for the Central Service department for the third shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The Distribution and Processing Services Specialist will support the Medical Centers and deliver high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Collects, cleans, prepares for use, and distributes carts, equipment, supplies, materials, and other items managed by the Central Service Department. Quickly and efficiently responds to requests from areas requiring carts, equipment, supplies, materials, and other items managed by the Central Service Department sustaining an industry leading customer service culture. Maintains PAR Locations and inventory as required of carts equipment, supplies, materials, and other items managed by the Central Service Department.

- Quickly and accurately deliver Carts, Equipment, Supplies, Materials, and Other Items managed by the Central Service Department.
- Anticipates the needs of customers and provides an industry leading level of customer service.
- Responds to approved electronic and telephones requests within a reasonable timeframe.
- Safely collects Carts, Equipment, Supplies, Materials, and Other Items managed by the Central Service Department utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Using Standard Work Instructions while utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment inspects and cleans Carts, Equipment, Supplies, Materials, and Other Items managed by the Central Service Department to the highest standards and prepares for restocking and/or distribution.
- Processes Carts, Equipment, Supplies, Materials, and Other Items managed by the Central Service Department.
- Checks Carts, Equipment, Supplies, Materials, and Other Items for expiration dates and accuracy of stocking daily.
- Communicate/collaborate as a team to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
- Restocks department inventory daily.
- Replenish cart supplies and forms according to pre-established standards/par levels.
- Assemble supply kits for carts.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 0-6 months equivalent experience preferred, 7-11 preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math skills and demonstrate verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to do basic computer functions including checking e-mail, sending e-mails, and other basic computer skills.
