Job Description

UC Health is hiring a full-time Executive Assistant for the Administration Department at the Daniel Drake Center.

The Executive Assistant will support the VP-Chief Administrative Officer, delivering high-quality support based on assessed needs, established standards of care, and according to policy and procedures.

This position will provide administrative and secretarial support and serves as a liaison between the corporate office, hospital administration offices, the departments of Alliance entities, board(s) of trustees, committee members, and all related external contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Relieves senior management staff of administrative and technical tasks as directed.
  • Acts as liaison between corporate offices/hospital administration offices and the departments of Alliance entities, board(s) of trustees, committee members, and all related external contacts.
  • Coordinates administrative responsibilities for Executive Vice Presidents, Senior Executive Officer or Senior Vice Presidents.
  • Schedules appointments and meetings, makes travel arrangements, sets up special events, buffers complaints and problems, and screens telephone calls and visitors. Attends meetings (as requested).
  • Makes decisions based on independent judgment.
  • Keeps highly confidential materials and information on a daily basis.
  • Transcribes dictation relating to correspondence, reports, schedules and records.
  • Attends meetings as requested to record minutes and distribute same.
  • Composes and types letters, forms, memos and reports.
  • Receives, opens and sorts mail noting items of special importance.
  • Maintains smooth flow of paperwork such as budgets, financial reports, surveys, objectives, pay records, files, confidential files and manuals, etc.


Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Five years of healthcare-related experience is preferred.
