UC Health is hiring an IT Epic Ambulatory Senior Systems Analyst

The Analyst provides direction to one or more technology infrastructure or application systems teams, provides technical and operational direction for defining, developing, and maintaining system applications, facilitates complex IS&T initiatives and activities for production support, works with IS&T Leadership, providing input to strategic goals and objectives, facilitates complex and multi-factitive projects that span multiple operational and technical areas.

Responsibilities

System Development and Support:

Facilitates effective system design and definition Acts as a resource/subject matter expert for the THA Departments Provides effective coordination with vendors and consultants Participates in the negotiation of vendor contracts Assists in the evaluation for system hardware and software products Follows change management procedures developed by UC Health.

Project Management:

Works with senior leadership level of the organization to resolve risk and issues associated with projects Determines complex schedules, budgets, and skill sets of team for projects Determine and manage workload priorities Facilitates activities across IS&T Departmental Teams Maintains the ability to create complex program charters and work plans covering multiple systems Ensures that project plans are followed and updated Provides accurate and timely individual and project status reports Documents and ensures timely resolution of project issues Applies and maintains skill sets to improve project management methodology within the organization.

Administration:

Participates in interview process for hiring on new staff and facilitates new employee training and organization Acts as a mentor to less experienced staff Monitors staff workload (calls, work orders, service request) and work quality Provides input to employee evaluation.

Customer Relationship:

Facilitates coordination of Leadership Meetings with customer Encourages and displays actions that result in high client satisfaction Maintains planning sessions with users to assess current and future state activities.

Coordination:

Assesses and escalates user request and issues Facilitates the completion of the Governance Analysis Process Participates in developing strategic goals Drives alignment of systems and applications with the business process.

Other duties as assigned:

Assists in the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems or relevant field required**
  • Years of Experience: 4+ years equivalent analyst experience required
  • ** 4 years equivalent experience can substitute for a Bachelor's degree plus must have 4 years analyst or other relevant experience (8 years total).
  • License and Certification: Epic Certification required; EpicCare Ambulatory Certification preferred. Person accepting this position, if not already certified in EpicCare Ambulatory, will be required to obtain and maintain one or more Epic module certification(s) as required by the position.
