IT Sr Systems Analyst, IS&T

Job Description

Provide oversight of Footprints (Information Systems Ticketing System) and Oracle Service Requests for the Finance Team, Payroll and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) teams. Assist with prioritization of work for the team. Participate in Application Change Control meetings for the Oracle ERP Cloud system as well as for overall IS&T change control. Assist with assessing new features and functionality within the system and present back to Operations. Knowledge in Finance and month end closing process a plus.

In April of 2022, UC Health implemented Oracle ERP and EPM systems for the Cloud. This replaced the existing Lawson ERP system. At the time of go live the Operational subject matter experts within the workstream areas were trained on how to configure, maintain, and support the Oracle application. This was meant as a temporary role until full time Analysts could be added within the Financial Systems IS&T team. One of the roles added was for a Sr. System Analyst. The Sr. System Analyst will work closely with the IS&T Finance Manager to assist with prioritizing and working through the IS&T ticketing system requests and Oracle Service Requests for the Finance, Payroll and EPM teams. They will act as a mentor and support to the other two analysts supporting Finance. They will assist in coordination of new features and functionality and will also provide support during system quarterly updates. This role will require good communication and presentation skills as you will be working closely with Finance Leadership. Experience in IT and Finance processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

IS&T Sr. System Analyst
  • Oversight of requests submitted via IS&T Ticketing System by ensuring that tasks are being prioritized and assigned
  • Oversight for Oracle Service Request tickets
  • Participate in regular cross workstream meetings
  • Participate in Application Change Control Board meetings
  • Oversight for Upgrade testing, release note review, facilitate schedule for cutover support, act as the Point of Contact for the upgrade
  • Oversight of work assignments for other Finance Analysts
  • Assess new features and functionality and planning of new deployment of Oracle ERP changes
  • Oversight of all third-party systems within their workstream
  • Ensure change control practices are being followed as defined in the Change Control Policy
  • Assign tasks to Analyst on relevant projects
  • Partner with the Subject Matter Experts within the workstreams
  • Responsible for obtaining approvals for any new security role changes
  • Establish calendar and timeline for monthly, quarterly, yearly events (Benefit enrollment, month end, yearend, ...)
  • Assists with employee training and orientation
  • Participates in interview process for hiring new staff
  • Acts as a mentor to less experienced staff
  • Provides input to employee evaluations


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, Minimum of four years of experience
