Job Description

UC Health is hiring an HR Policy & Governance Manager

The Manager, HR Policy & Compliance will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policy and compliance programs and initiatives that ensure UC Health's adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This role will be responsible for establishing standard processes for data governance, audits, HR reporting, policy oversight, and regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities

HR Compliance:
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR compliance programs and initiatives that ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions. Ensure solutions are executed through simple, consistent, technology-enabled processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory entities (i.e. Joint Commission, Department of Labor, Nursing Boards, etc.)
• Lead a team of data specialists to conduct audits, maintain data governance, and support ongoing HR systems compliance.

HR Policy:
• Develop, review, and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Serve as focal point for the majority of HR policies. Engage key stakeholders as needed and in a streamlined fashion to simplify quantity and content of policies and drive clarity.
• Develop and own HR processes around investigations. Engage employee relations team to support investigations and related work using standardized processes and templates.
• Provide guidance and support to Employee Relations team on HR-related compliance matters.

HR Data Governance & Auditing:
• Develop and maintain compliance reports and operational audits to mitigate HR-related compliance risks.
• Develop and implement strategy around data consolidation from historical systems and data readiness for key business, HR and regulatory needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including compliance reports and policy documentation.

HR Leadership:
• Serve as the HR Compliance Subject Matter Expert and stay current on the latest trends and best practices for HR policies and procedures.
• Provide thought leadership, project management, and day-to-day operational excellence to key stakeholders across UC Health.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources or Related Degree.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree.
  • PHR Certification Preferred.
  • Minimum Required: 6 - 10 Years equivalent experience.
