Job Description

As the PR & Marketing Manager, your role will be to ensure alignment with UC Health Enterprises' Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values with the strategic initiatives and planning. The position is responsible for visual and verbal storytelling across all mediums to engage multiple audiences.

The PR & Marketing Manager will work in coordination with the team to execute marketing and communications strategies outlined in the strategic marketing plans. The Marketing Manager will monitor marketing activities, report outcomes, and mid-course correct as needed to hit growth goals. This role also requires close coordination with operations and across the Marketing & Communications team.

This role is responsible with ensuring the successful execution of several service lines: Cardiovascular Health & Disease/Heart Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Recruitment & Employer Brand.

Responsibilities for Internal Candidates

Responsibilities

  • Develops marketing strategies that distinguish UCH service line from the competition.
  • Executes integrated marketing plans and tactics using full range of channels and opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with service line business partners and providers in assigned portfolios.
  • Anticipates changes and trends in the market (consumers, industry, etc.) and develops appropriate positions and differentiates services.
  • Develops and regularly reports appropriate metrics.
  • Creates content to support marketing plans, including writing for: articles, collateral pieces, advertisements, social media, and internal communications, based on need and target audiences.
  • Assists in developing strategic proactive and reactive media and communications plans, writing news releases, conducting interviews, pitching stories to the media, responding to requests for more information, and escorting media onsite.
  • Serves as a representative for UC Health and participates in sponsorship opportunities that will engage the community.
  • Provides outstanding service and leads the education for UC Health administrators, faculty, and staff to leverage marketing more effectively within the UC Health brand guidelines.
  • Serves as a mentor for consultants and may be asked to review their work for accuracy and efficacy.
  • Prioritizes, coordinates, and assists with the daily operations.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communication, Health Planning, Health Administration, or related degree.
  • 6 - 10 Years of equivalent experience

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of current marketing techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in marketing strategy & implementation, project management, copywriting & editing, public relations, social media, corporate events, and budget management
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Moderate to advanced level of social networking, internet, and technology
  • Love of networking, via social platforms, networking meetups, and community events
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an environment of constant change
  • Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen interest in a variety of business fields inclusive of marketing, technology, sales, analytics, and/or content/production
