The Manager, Service Line Marketing and Communications ensures alignment with the UC Health enterprises' Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values with the strategic initiatives and planning.Responsible for visual and verbal storytelling across all mediums to engage multiple audiences.This position leads the marketing & communications support for Orthopedics, Primary Care, Trauma & Emergency Medicine service lines. They are responsible for driving results through the development and delivery of marketing and communication plans in partnership with the M&C overall team.

The Marketing Manager will work in coordination with the VP of Communications to execute marketing and communications strategies outlined in the strategic marketing briefs. The Marketing Manager will plan out and monitor marketing activities, report outcomes, and mid-course correct as needed to hit business and system goals. This role requires close coordination with service line business operations and across the entire Marketing and Communications team. Strategic mindset, close attention to detail, problem-solving, and innovative thinking delivers success in this role.


  • Responsible for advancing brand reputation through development and delivery of all marketing and communication brand items.
  • Develop marketing strategy that distinguishes the UC Health service line from the competition.
  • Plan and execute an integrated marketing and communications plan and tactics using a full range of channels and opportunities. Implements and integrates closely with digital, creative, consumer and market insights, communication teammates, and external resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service line business partners and providers in assigned portfolios.
  • In coordination with service line business partners, anticipate changes and trends in the market (consumers, industry, etc.) and develop appropriate position and differentiate services.
  • Develop and regularly report appropriate metrics.
  • Create written content to support marketing briefs, including writing for media releases, informational articles, patient stories, collateral pieces, web sections, print and digital advertisements, social media, and internal communications based on need and target audiences.
  • Coordinate logistics for all marketing efforts in partnership with the service line business partner for video and photoshoots, interviews, etc.
  • Prepares for and executes sponsorship benefits, brand activations, and engagement opportunities with community partners when applicable.


Education: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or relevant field required. M.A., M.S., or M.B.A., preferred.

Experience: Six to ten years of equivalent experience is required. Eleven to fifteen years of equivalent experience is preferred.
