UC Health is hiring a Radiology Manager for the University of Cincinnati Medical Center

Reporting to the Director of Radiology Administration, with minimal supervision manages sections of the Department of Radiology, Creating and Managing Operating and Capital Budgets. Responsible for Revenue and expenses, JCAHO Compliance, Credentials Compliance, Education and Training of Technical Staff, Policies and Procedures, Quality Assurance, Radiation Safety, etc. for the Diagnostic Division of Radiology.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates radiologic services and maintains standards of quality.
  • Oversees the work of the technical staff and other personnel as appropriate and delegates appropriate responsibility to the Lead technologists leaders or Assistant Manager.
  • Maintains Credential files for all professional staff.
  • Develops and administers education programs for staff and maintains records for compliance.
  • Coordinates Quality Improvement activities for the department and participates as appropriate on hospital wide committees and process action teams.
  • Participates in the development of new policies and procedures for the department and regularly updates policies as indicated.
  • Participates in the evaluation of and decision to purchase new equipment and technologies.
  • Maintains statistical information regarding staffing, quality issues and prepares analysis of the data.
  • Assists in the preparation of the budget and variance analysis and prepares statistical analysis of the information. Assures budgetary compliance for the sections for which they are responsible.
  • With minimal supervision develops recruitment and retention strategies and interviews job candidates.
  • Orients new employees to department and makes certain all orientation documentation is in compliance with JCAHO standards.
  • Conducts performance reviews as established by the institution and oversees the performance review process for other sections of the department.
  • Mediates employee problems, counsels and makes recommendations and/or initiates constructive disciplinary process as appropriate.
  • Terminates employees when constructive discipline fails.
  • Participates in the instruction of students in the Radiologic Technology Program and maintains a relationship with students related to recruitment.
  • Performs the duties of the Administrative Director in their absence


Qualifications

  • Completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Radiology Technology or related field.
  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.in Radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound or Nuclear Medicine ? Current licensure by the State of Ohio
  • 5 years of diversified experience as a radiologic technologist to include exposure to a wide variety of imaging modalities.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
