UC Health is hiring a PRN Student Helper for the Primary Care department.
Under the direction of the Accreditation Analyst, the Student Helper will assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective and comprehensive auditing and monitoring program consistent with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Conditions of Participation for Hospitals, The Joint Commission Hospital Standards and Accreditation Process, and other regulatory agency requirements. The Student Helper will participate in training activities, auditing, and monitoring, and will provide assistance with compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Department Details:
- The clinicians work well with staff to ensure all are on the same page, and truly have their backs when it comes to difficult patients.
- The office has a variety of people with different cultural backgrounds that work very cohesively and celebrate and support each other.
- The Primary Care Network has been working diligently on employee engagement and collecting feedback from frontline workers to ensure they are heard, and problems/issues are looked at and resolved as needed. Before making changes to workflows, etc. we consult a group of front-line workers to get their feedback. Anyone can volunteer to join that group, as well as our Safety and Training Workgroup.
Responsibilities
- Assists in developing and implementing compliance auditing and monitoring strategies and tools related to identified risk areas and federal, state, and other regulatory agency requirements.
- Conducts on-site regulatory compliance audits.
- Collects and maintains data from chart reviews, unit self-audits, and Epic electronic audits.
- Manages data and produce reports identifying deficiencies.
- Provides support with knowledge of policies, procedures and training requirements.
- Works with Accreditation Analyst and/or other Leadership as needed to improve and/or maintain compliance.
- Develops compliance audit tools to be utilized by the regulatory department as well as for unit specific self-assessments and education and training.
- Maintains current knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and The Joint Commission required documentation and other related regulations impacting compliance auditing and monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Care Related preferred
- One to two years' experience in healthcare, compliance, audit, or business analyst
