Responsibilities
- Communicates in a clear and appropriate manner with patients and staff while being able to identify and respond to varying needs.
- Assists the Radiologic Technologist or Special Procedures Technologist in the coordination and performance of diagnostic examinations of patients, patient care, and transport of patients as needed.
- Prepares labels and containers for contrast administration.
- Research patient's previous exams and reports and keeps patient's family informed about the status of examination while also supporting patient through situations which may induce anxiety.
- Preform clerical work such as answering phone calls, processing paperwork, and completing functions in both the QuadRIS and PACS systems related to the study.
- Maintains clean and orderly examination rooms by cleaning instruments, observing and enforcing magnetic safety policies, and ensuring instruments used in MRI are non-magnetic.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be currently enrolled in a radiology technology program
