Vascular Sonographer, First Shift, Vascular Lab
UC Health is hiring a full-time Vascular Sonographer for the vascular lab for the first shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. We are offering up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus!
The Vascular Sonographer performs non-invasive procedures utilizing a variety of equipment to accurately assess the anatomy, vascular disease process, and physiologic flow parameters. Employee will have primary work location but will be expected to float to additional UC Health vascular labs as needed.

- Perform non-invasive vascular diagnostic testing utilizing special skills according to established protocols.
- Delineate and record abnormalities and make appropriate changes in technique as required by specific patient care needs. Identify and report normal, abnormal, and critical findings.
- Build preliminary reports for physician interpretation in the Medstreaming structured reporting system.
- Manage the testing schedule in an effective and timely manner. Serve as a role model in providing quality patient care and customer service.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, their families, and staff. Maintain clean exam rooms and equipment reporting any problems or safety hazards to the appropriate person.
- Assist internal and external customers with appropriate test/indications selection. Participate in quality assurance program to ensure the vascular lab accreditation guidelines are maintained.
- Participate in research studies. Responsible for training of staff, residents, fellows, and technologists in non-invasive vascular testing.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Comply with all department policies and procedures. Demonstrate compliance with all requirements for safety, infection control, and disaster plan. Attend and participate in staff meetings. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum Required: 1 - 3 Years equivalent experience-will consider new grads.
- Associate degree in Allied Health Science with in non-invasive vascular testing
- Board certified or board eligible by American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist by the ARDMS, Registered Vascular Sonographer by CCI, or Registered Technologist (RT-VS) by the ARRT. Must be board certified in Vascular Testing within 12 months of employment. .
