Responsibilities
The Blended Learning Consultant will design, develop, and facilitate learning opportunities and hospital-wide initiatives at the direction of the Director, Professional Development and Education. The primary focus is computer-based training development and in-classroom support. It may encompass other software application use and support. This position will conduct activities related to the development and support of the training modules, including training materials and maintenance of training environment. This person must be familiar with the principles of adult learning and a variety of training concepts, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of Universal Design is a plus.

- Application Training Development:
- Responsible for the design and development of comprehensive training programs for both online and classroom delivery.
- Assists in conducting a learner needs assessment.
- Assists with all facets of training development - job analysis, need assessment, program design, delivery strategies, competency identification, testing, evaluation, etc.
- Works with a variety of subject matter experts in defining application end-user and trainer course materials (e.g., job aids, instructor-led handouts, on-line help, CBT).
- Prepares specific ILT course materials and documents.
- Develops web-based training courses and materials.
- Creates and maintain templates and components for rapid courseware development.
- Participates in conducting and evaluating application and training events.
- Updates, maintenance and redevelopment of training courses including web-based training, instructor-led courseware, and job aids.
- Application Training Delivery (Content/Instructional):
- Coordinates effectively with team members.
- Provides learning and application support to end-users within traditional classroom settings.
- Instructs courses in a classroom environment.
- Facilitates computer-based training labs.
- Participates and contributes to the assessment and ongoing development of training programs.
- Participates and contributes to problem and issue identification and resolution.
- Demonstrates flexibility in meeting educational needs of learners.
- Demonstrates ability to assist learner in troubleshooting basic problems related to access of computer-based training.
Qualifications
- Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Related field.
- Master's Degree preferred. 3-5 Years equivalent experience.
- Certification/Experience in project management, instructional design, and/or electronic learning management systems or other computer-based learning platforms preferred.
