Environmental Services Supervisor, Full-time, Second Shift (on call every other weekend 1st and second shift)

UC Health is hiring a full-time Environmental Services Supervisor for the Daniel Drake Center.

The Environmental Services Supervisor will support the Daniel Drake Hospital by delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care is the regions premier provider of post-acute and transitional care services, offering a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services including medically complex care, skilled nursing, assisted living, wellness services and research. Daniel Drake Center helps patients recover from catastrophic injury and illness including multi-system organ failure, complex wound care, traumatic brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury.

Daniel Drake is the only hospital-based skilled nursing facility in the Cincinnati region. Responsibilities

Executes environmental services programs and procedures by training, supervising, and motivating EVS associates to ensure that all tasks are completed and schedules are met.
  • Assists in the implementation of environmental services programs which are designed to provide a clean and sanitary facility. Daily inspects completed work and produces QC reports.
  • Recommends new methods to improve overall performance.
  • Assists in the development of staffing assignments which will ensure efficient, cost-effective completion of cleaning.
  • Monitors and inspects equipment daily to ensure it is maintained in a clean condition and in good repair.
  • Executes the daily activities of the EVS Department in accordance with customer expectations, service requirements, and objectives.
  • Works closely with and motivates staff to ensure work is performed properly and personnel follows assigned tasks.
  • Recommends and maintains staffing schedules. Monitor work flow and daily operation of scope of responsibility.
  • Develops effective facility relations through formal and informal programs, both verbal and written.
  • Develops associates through regular training so they can meet performance standards.
  • Evaluates and counsels personnel on work performance. Makes recommendations for hiring and termination of associates.
  • Maintains documentation and other criteria as required by all regulatory agencies.
  • Follows operating standards and executes quality improvements. Maintains policies and procedures to meet operational demands.
  • Tracks supply usage in scope of responsibility.
  • Executes the program for the collection, treatment, and disposal of infectious waste.
  • Serves as acting manager in his / her absence
  • Executes the training and orientation for new associates.


Qualifications

Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED;
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Environmental Services Management experience preferred.
