Sr. Interventional Radiology Technologist, First Shift, Radiology Department

UC Health is hiring a full-time Sr. Interventional Radiology Technologist for the radiology department for first shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The Sr. Interventional Radiology Technologist assumes the supervisory or Lead Technologist responsibilities for a defined area or a defined shift in addition to the individuals normal patient care responsibilities. Functions as a working supervisor under the direction of the Interventional Radiology Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Is a working supervisor and responsible for all duties of an Advanced Special Procedures Technologist identified in Advanced Special Procedures job description.
  • Works with the Interventional Radiology Manager to oversee the schedule of a particular area and optimizes the use of the equipment and staff to most effectively serve patients and physicians.
  • Prepares schedules for employees and support star for a sub-specialty area or shift.
  • Identifies supplies to be ordered and verifies that the area is adequately stocked for daily operation.
  • Works with the Interventional Radiology Manager in the resolution of patient scheduling and employee relations problems.
  • Provides first-line staff communication and works with the Interventional Radiology Manager to maintain the technologists' skill procedures.
  • Participates with the Interventional Radiology Manager in the performance evaluation for the area's employees. -
  • Participates in the interview process and makes recommendations to the Interventional Radiology Manager for hiring staff under his/her supervision.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum Required: Associate Degree in Radiologic Sciences
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certifications (VI) and Radiographers License in the State of Ohio
  • Minimum required: 3 years of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist or Advanced Special Procedures Technologist.
