This position supports, manages, and directs operational and strategic activities across departments at UC Health as assigned by the Senior Director. The Operations Manager will represent effectively the needs of administration to directors and managers across the spectrum of operations of the system.

Responsibilities

Process Improvement and Analytical Support

30% - At the direction of the Sr. Director, collaborates with finance, department directors, physicians, and other project stakeholders to develop scopes, needs assessments, and scenario analyses in support of the Sr. Director's decision-making process. Identifies operational areas of opportunity for the Service Response Center (e.g. contractor/vendor oversight, productivity assessments, variance reporting, etc.) Maintains regular communication with project sponsors and stakeholders and communicates with internal and external entities in an effort to best maximize their relationship with leadership. Also, in consultation with the Sr. Director, provides support for other UC Health initiatives outside of this job description.

Administrative Duties

30% - Performs day-to-day business functions for the Service Response Center, including but not limited to: Acts as a liaison and system navigator for various hospital stakeholders (internal and external). Maintains agreements and expedites agreement execution as required. Assists with the Capital Budgeting Process and Operational Budgeting as requested. Serves on various committees and task forces and maintains an effective relationship with medical staff and members of the community. Communicates process implementations and adjustments to leadership. Under the direction of the Sr. Director, leads projects and is responsible for ensuring effective implementation(s).

Reporting and Corporate Compliance

25% - At the direction of the Sr. Director, conducts due diligence and expedites the information collection process in response to external reporting requests. Responsible for regularly capturing and communicating the actual and budgeted operating results of the department. Responsible for identifying agreed-upon projections for future initiatives that will impact operations. Uses appropriate tools to communicate results and projections in an effective and standardized manner. Also, in consultation with the Sr. Director, provides support for other initiatives outside of the job description.

Human Resources - 5% Provides supervision of associates and assists in the hiring, orientation, and training process as needed. Actively participates in staff development activities, educational initiatives, and intradepartmental projects. Provides coaching and mentoring to colleagues across the organization.

External Initiative Support

5% - Actively participates in fundraising commitments and other commitments (e.g. United Way, American Heart Association, Hoxworth Blood Drive, etc).

Qualifications

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Business Related
  • Preferred: 3 - 5 Years of equivalent experience
