UC Health is hiring an Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) for the Ambulatory Clinical Administration department.
In collaboration with VP Ambulatory Operations, the ACNO Ambulatory is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of evidence-based professional practice and processes across the clinic settings. Facilitates a robust professional practice governance framework to optimize standards, manage risk, support continuous improvement, and facilitates a learning culture. Supports the development of an adaptable and resilient workforce based on modern and innovative designs that overcomes current workforce challenges and delivers cutting-edge care delivery. Responsible for assuring an engaged and dynamic support staff across the ambulatory settings and sites of care.

Responsibilities
- Responsibility for establishing Evidence-Based nursing practice throughout all service lines and clinical sites of care.
- Assists the VPs of Ambulatory with support for education and growth of the nursing model of care along with the nursing shared governance process.
- Displays relentless focus on redesigning the clinical care delivery to improve efficiency, service, and quality
- Manages and maintains the overarching portfolio of work for Ambulatory including scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Escalates any risks and associated mitigation strategies to relevant stakeholders.
- Provides oversight of clinical operations of services/clinics, including meeting performance metrics and driving optimal operational performance.
- Assesses and sets the tone for the Ambulatory clinical settings and identifies opportunities to make improvement to quality, efficiency, and team productivity.
- Reduces waste throughout the system.
- Identifies talent, coaches, and mentors individuals to their highest levels of performance.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master of Science in Nursing
Licensure and Certification:
- State of Ohio Registered Nursing License
Years of Experience:
- 6 - 10 years of clinical experience
- Preferred: 10+ years of clinical leadership experience
- Prior procedural area experience is preferred

- Extensive experience with change/project management and continuous improvement principles to standardize/transform care, scale up learnings, and optimize system goal alignment
- Ability to build effective teams and coalitions to drive consensus across disparate stakeholders
- Advanced operational expertise related to clinical operations, practice management, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.
