UC Health is hiring for a Full-Time Consultant for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at the UC Health Business Center.
The EAP Consultant will work with employees to provide assessment, referral, and short-term counseling on mental health and work-related issues.

The consultant will provide timely assistance to individuals and departments in response to employee deaths, adverse outcomes in the healthcare setting and any other event that has the potential to traumatize UC Health Employees and/or diminish their ability to do their job.

Responsibilities
The EAP Consultant will provide workplace consultation, mediation, and coaching to managers and individuals. The consultant will provide timely assistance to individuals and departments in response to employee deaths, adverse outcomes in the healthcare setting and any other event that has the potential to traumatize UC Health Employees and/or diminish their ability to do their job.
- Utilizes evidence-based practice and follows standard operating procedures/practices for EAP service delivery that ensure client confidentiality, and timely, ethical, and high-quality services.
- Provides walk-in coverage and consultation to associates and managers in need of immediate intervention.
- Consults with UC Health managers and leaders about workgroup issues and potential referrals to EAP, assessing the need and appropriate intervention.
- Serves as an EAP liaison to various departments (including HR Operations/Employee Health/Hospital Operations) across the organization to maintain collaborative relationships in service of employee well-being.
- Delivers on-site and virtual trainings to familiarize employee population with EAP services.
- Facilitates and presents workshops and seminars on a variety of topics that raise awareness of and/or enhance employees' well-being.
- Screens, triages, and schedules clients and/or teams on internal EAP electronic health record system.
- Provides crisis intervention and on-call coverage/back up on-call coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- M.A in Social Work or Counseling
- Licensed mental health professional required (dependent or independent: LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, MFT, IMFT)
- Licensure must be kept current by completing the required continuing education units mandated by the state licensing board. Consultants must follow their Professions ethics code.
- Recently certified, licensed or graduates within past 12 months and completion of internship in EAP.
- 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience preferred
