Finance Business Manager

Job Description

UC Health is hiring a full-time Finance Business Manager for Ambulatory Services for the first shift at the UC Health Business Center. This will be a hybrid position with some remote work.

The Finance Business Manager will support Ambulatory, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

This position must work closely with various members of the organization to ensure accurate, timely charge capture.
  • Performs complex financial analysis by service line, DRG, department, clinic and physician to optimize financial performance.
  • Communicates to and work directly with key stakeholders to realize potential gains.
  • Assists in the management of operational and capital budgets by analyzing and trending labor, supply, service and capital data.
  • Collaborates with leaders to identify and communicate opportunities for improvements in the financial performance of the hospital. Communicate results through reporting, presentations and meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Maximizes resource optimization by validating and enhancing the charge capture process within the Hospital.
  • Identifies potential duplication of expenses and working with leadership and staff to minimize such duplication and strive for maximum value received.
  • Collaborates with leaders to develop ROIs for new service lines, equipment, renovations, etc.
  • Promotes an environment of learning and cooperation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree (Accounting, Finance, MIS or related) required.
  • Minimum two years of experience; three to four years preferred in related activities including financial management, financial analysis, process improvement and planning.
