GME Program Coordinator, First Shift, Dental Center

UC Health is hiring a full-time GME Program Coordinator for the dental center for the first shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The GME Program Coordinator has obtained a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. The program coordinator will utilize their time management and organizational skills while maintaining compliance with all ACGME/CODA accredited program regulations. The GME program coordinator will fully support the residency and dental director.

Unit Details:
  • Specialty Dentists (Endodontist, Periodontist, Prosthodontist) support residency programs to educate on site procedures for residents to acquire Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
  • Clear patients' dental concerns so that they can have transplant, stem cell, radiation, LVAD, joint replacement surgeries.

  • The GME Program Coordinator will support the Medical Centers dental center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for receiving and maintaining residentapplications, communicating with interested applicants about the application process, setting up candidates interview dates and itineraries for visits.
  • Initiating all the hiring paperwork for the accepted residentsto include all HR documents and working with the Hospital GME Office and HR Offices. Oversee processing of all graduating residentpaperwork.
  • Preparation of annual contracts for residents, processing all licensing, privileging, script pads, badges, keys, pagers, Computer Access training as well as organizing orientation schedules with GME, DOM, the Division, and VA.
  • Working within the program to compile, organize, and maintain resident programrelated schedules to include call schedule, conference schedule, procedure log, clinic and rotation schedules, and evaluations.
  • Assuring that ACGME/CODA guidelines are met for accreditation purposes.
  • Entering and maintaining AMION for both attending and residentschedules.
  • Working with residencyprogram director in preparation for upcoming Accreditation Site Visits for the Department, Division. Updating all fellowship program documents to include curriculum, rotation schedules, call schedules, goals, and objectives of the training program.
  • Provide full support to the Dental and ResidencyDirector including calendars maintenance, travel arrangements, filing, conference calls, scheduling meetings, website updates, assist in the faculty recruitment process and any other duties that may be needed.
  • Responsible for organizing bi-monthly faculty meetings, annual faculty retreats and annual residentretreats.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED (required), Associate's degree (preferred)
  • Experience: 3 years program management (preferred)
  • Skills: Administrative and organizational skills are beneficial

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Shift: 8am-5pm / First Shift
