The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) collaborates with business unit leaders to integrate effective HR programs and practices into service and business operations by providing excellence in human resources consulting to drive positive outcomes. Plays a critical role in hiring, managing and retaining the best possible talent.

Responsibilities

Human Resources Partnering:
  • Serves as a resource to assigned business units for all matters related to employment and Human Resources. Partners with leaders to enhance business outcomes through the most effective use of UC Health HR processes, policies and initiatives.

Talent Acquisition:
  • Partners with hiring leaders to develop recruiting plans using established and creative sourcing strategies and resources to hire the most qualified candidates. Oversees and participates in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting for assigned groups, including making staffing recommendations and negotiating salaries for placements. Establishes strong relationships with hiring managers to anticipate future staffing needs, develop competencies and optimize processes.

Employee and Labor Relations:
  • Coaches leaders to resolve employee relations issues through a systematic approach using sound judgment and a solution-oriented approach. Manages employee relations investigations and other sensitive employee matters. Understands and anticipates issues in union and union-free environments and promotes positive employee relations. Ensures legal compliance and fair and competitive practices.

Associate Engagement:
  • Partners with leaders to develop and implement meaningful engagement, reward, recognition, and retention strategies.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Partners with team and leaders to ensure that HR functions run smoothly and efficiently. Researches and makes recommendations for process improvement. Maintains both standard and predictive metrics; strives to achieve a continuous rate of improvement in results and customer experience.


Qualifications

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree Labor/Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree Labor/Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field. | SPHR or PHR |
  • Minimum Required: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience
