UC Health is hiring for a Full-Time IT Programmer Analyst to work remotely within IN, KY, or OH.

The Analyst is responsible for independently designing, coding and support of complex computer applications which increase Customer Service, quality, market share and decrease cost of UC Health. Provides efficient and effective code development. Works with users to define information flow, reports and data requirements. Writes specifications, develops and documents operational procedures, tests software and coordinates software installations.

Responsibilities

The Analyst will be responsible for System Definition, System Support, System Development, Support, and Customer Relationships.
  • Will be responsible for effectively engaging with vendors and users to identify and verify system requirements, including hardware and software. They will also be responsible for evaluating vendors, selecting products, and integrating them into UC Health Systems. Additionally, the Analyst will be expected to design logical and physical databases, tables, and interfaces that are error-free and comprehensive.
  • The Analyst will be responsible for providing user, technical, and operations staff training, as well as timely and accurate support to resolve system errors and user-reported problems. Furthermore, they will provide support and maintenance of supported systems, such as patching, upgrading, and communicating with vendors on existing problems. It is essential that the Analyst has a working knowledge of the users' applications and an understanding of the application databases.
  • Analyst to be responsible for performing independent software testing and validating system requirements, as well as developing and executing complex test plans. This includes data reasonability and code verification, as well as creating complete systems documentation. Additionally, the successful candidate should be able to provide error-free program code/scripts and/or database/table/interface design or setup, as well as documented solution alternatives to problems/issues.
  • We are looking for an Analyst to join our team to provide essential input to project charters and task level detail for project plans. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate effectively with team members, other teams' members, users and vendors.
  • The Analyst will be responsible for developing consensus within the user community, encouraging and displaying actions that result in high client satisfaction, providing effective written and verbal communication to end users, and providing consultative advice to end users.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.
  • Two or more years' experience in programming or analysis in a PC, Client Server or mainframe environment required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, good communication skills and the ability to work in a changing environment required. Must have the ability to code application code.
