Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor, Third Shift, Core Lab
UC Health is hiring a Full Time Lab Supervisor for the Core Lab for the Third shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The Core Lab Supervisor will support the Medical Centers' Core Lab Department, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Lab Manager/Lab Director, is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Lab Support Techs (LSTs), Laboratory Technicians, and Technical Associates (TAs), with regards to scheduling, PTO requests, corrective action and performance review. Provides technical expertise supporting specimen collection, specimen processing and customer service functions in the laboratory. Serves as the primary trainer for laboratory support personnel and external customers.
Qualifications
Education Requirements: Minimum education associate degree in Medical Laboratory
Preferred: Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science with certification

Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Lab Manager/Lab Director, is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Lab Support Techs (LSTs), Laboratory Technicians, and Technical Associates (TAs), with regards to scheduling, PTO requests, corrective action and performance review. Provides technical expertise supporting specimen collection, specimen processing and customer service functions in the laboratory. Serves as the primary trainer for laboratory support personnel and external customers.
- Supervises Lab Support department (Pre-Analytics: Phlebotomy, Processing) including personnel and workflow. Ensures timely delivery of all pre-analytic services by vigilant monitoring of pending orders (MCP, Horizon, EPIC, Pending reports).
- Performs duties of LST/TA/Laboratory Technician, including phlebotomy and processing, as workflow dictates.
- Serves as primary trainer for LSTs/TAs/Laboratory Technician in fulfillment of phlebotomy and processing job duties. Supports training for all other lab associates and patient care associates in phlebotomy/processing duties as indicated.
- Ensures proper communication of lab support functions with all lab associates. Actively participates in staff department meetings, including daily shift huddles.
- Conducts Lab Support meetings in support of Lab Administration team when indicated.
