Job Description
UC Health is hiring a Full-Time, Day-Shift Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager will assist in the direction of clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and infusion pharmacy departments. The manager will lead, develop, support, and manage clinical service activities and practice advancements across the department. The manager will directly support and oversee individual clinical pharmacy specialists and their multidimensional practices.

Responsibilities
Manage, coordinate, and direct operational and patient care activities within the area of responsibility.
Manage, coordinate, and direct human resource activities within the area of responsibility.
Plan and manage expenditures and revenues in areas of responsibility.
Manage, coordinate, and direct research and educational activities within the department through the following.
Participate in cross-coverage and/or the "on-call" rotation among departmental leaders.

Responsibilities
Manage, coordinate, and direct operational and patient care activities within the area of responsibility.
- Assign staffing responsibilities; regulate staffing; assist in the scheduling of staff department-wide.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to the area of responsibility.
- Participate in the department's continuous quality improvement process.
- Develop, prepare, and maintain work/activity data and summary reports.
- Respond to the hospital's disaster plan.
Manage, coordinate, and direct human resource activities within the area of responsibility.
- Interview and recommend for employment selected applicants.
- Orient, train, and develop personnel
- Evaluate personnel performance of professional, technical, and clerical staff
Plan and manage expenditures and revenues in areas of responsibility.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in areas of responsibility.
- Ensure appropriate supply and personnel resource utilization.
- Contribute to departmental budget and forecast planning for the area(s) of responsibility.
Manage, coordinate, and direct research and educational activities within the department through the following.
- Serve as an advisor and/or preceptor for APPE students and pharmacy residents.
- Coordinate APPE student rotation schedules with affiliate colleges of pharmacy.
- Serve as an intern preceptor, where applicable.
- Develop and participate in performance improvement, practice projects, and research activities in the area(s) of expertise.
- Serve as an advisor and/or preceptor for students and/or pharmacy residents.

Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Ohio is required.
- Completion of an ASHP Accredited Pharmacy Residency or an Equivalent amount of training or experience is required.
- Master's Degree in Pharmacy of Pharm. D is preferred.
- Two years of Hospital Pharmacy Management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated pharmacy and collaborative practice skills are required. Hospital operational and project management, human resource management, fiscal budgetary management, communication skills, and competency in dispensing pharmaceuticals.
