Registered Nurse (RN-CN1), Same Day Surgery, Day, ONA

Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN), Day Shift, Same Day Surgery Center

UC Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the same day surgery center for the day shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

All outpatients and inpatients going to the OR at UCMC come through Same-day Surgery apart from ICU. Patients are prepped for surgery by addressing history, medications, and safety through questions asked by the RN. An IV is placed here, baseline vital signs and any other surgical prep needed. Anesthesia will also place blocks and A-lines here when applicable. This is the last stop prior to the OR; Consent and H&P are also verified for the last time where site-marking also occurs before the patient is taken back to the OR.
