Pathology & Laboratory Coordinator, Full Time, First shift
The Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Coordinator will provide support services to the management team, faculty, and pathology associates. The Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Coordinator will utilize various software applications to identify, document and process confidential information and pathology materials that impact patient care. The Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Coordinator will be tasked with facilitating conferences, clinical referrals and send out testing. The Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Coordinator will perform general office duties, maintain files, and assist in various projects.
Responsibilities
Customer Service and General Office Tasks:
• Promotes positive customer service greeting physicians, vendors, and hospital staff.
• Serves as a liaison for information from physicians, hospital staff and outside institutions.
• Managing phone calls, emails, faxing
• Tracking and Filing documents, blocks, and slides
• Shipping and Receiving pathology materials
Referral Testing:
• Process and send out testing for continuity of care, consultations, clinical trials and research.
• Utilize various software applications and web portals.
• Upload pathology results and reports
Tumor Board Conferences:
• Facilitate and coordinate Tumor Board Conferences
• Prepare pathology material for presentations.
• Communicate with various department leaders and coordinators
Administrative Support:
• Assist with CAP accreditation compliance, policies and procedures.
• Receiving reports from outside institutions and enter into lab system to be reviewed by Pathologist.
• Create and crosscheck invoices.
• Faculty and management requests (QA, minutes, calendars, statistics).
• Manage office supply inventory

Qualifications
- Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree - Communications, Business, Healthcare.
- The applicant should have at Masters Degree in Medical Physics and have at least completed Part II or be certified as a Diagnostic Medical Physicist by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics.
- LICENSE & CERTIFICATION: None required. | Minimum Required: 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience. Preferred: 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience.
